History

Desai Group was founded in the early 1950s by Mr. R M Desai and started its business as an outlet for retail sale of paper and boards. Now the leader in the distribution of paper and boards in South India, the group commenced its construction division in the early 90s.

Kicking off with real estate development in Kochi, Desai Homes has now over 60+ ongoing and completed projects in both residential and commercial sectors, 6000+ customers, and 8 million+ sq ft constructed over the past 32+ years. WHERE WE STARTED

The Desai group of companies took shape as a retail outlet dealing in paper in Mattancherry in the early 1950s. Founded by Late R M Desai and under the vision and guidance of his son Mr. V R Desai, the company grew to be the premier dealer of paper in Kerala. The vision of the Late Mr. V R Desai and his ensuing mission enabled the company to acquire agencies of almost all the leading paper manufacturing companies in India with a Head Office at Kaloor and branches in Mattancherry, Kunnamkulam, Calicut and Coimbatore. Today, the leader in the distribution of paper and boards in Kerala, the company also has begun imports of paper from China and Indonesia and has earned laurels for being the largest importer in the state.

With typical entrepreneurial zeal, Late Mr. V R Desai went on to establish the construction division of the Desai Group. Desai Homes was founded in 1992 along with Mr. P G Antony a partner embarking on the company's first project named DD Village. It was a start to a momentous journey. After transforming the real estate scenario in Kochi, Desai Homes expanded their property development to Trivandrum, Kottayam, Thiruvalla and Thrissur. With an unwavering legacy of trust, Desai Homes further plans to launch projects in Calicut and Coimbatore.
