1. Turn on the meter by insterting a test strip. 
2. Select the dog/Cat mode. 
3. Prick the puncture site. 
4. Gently squeeze the puncture site to obtain a drop of blood. 
5. Gently apply the drop of blood to the absorbant hole of the test strip at a tilted angle. 
6. Place the meter flat on the table and wait for the test result display. 
7. Eject the test strip by pushing the eject button on the side. 
8. Remove the used lancet by twisting the lancing device cap off first. Safely dispose of the lancet.
